At our upcoming shopping event, we are kindly requesting that shoppers bring a non-perishable food item or make a monetary donation to support HighPoint Charitable Services' Food Pantry. This pantry serves individuals and families in need by providing them with essential food items.

HighPoint Charitable Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving those less fortunate in our community. The food pantry is just one of the many ways in which they support those in need. By donating a non-perishable food item, you are directly contributing to this cause and helping to alleviate hunger in our community!

Here is a list of items that are most welcome and needed. Food banks accept dry and canned food donations. What does that mean? Basically, any food that is “shelf-stable” or nonperishable – you can keep it in your pantry and it won’t go bad. And remember, only donate food that hasn’t reached its “sell-by” date yet. Specifically, food banks often need items like:

  • Peanut butter

  • Canned soup

  • Canned fruit

  • Canned vegetables

  • Canned stew

  • Canned fish

  • Canned beans

  • Pasta (most prefer whole grain)

  • Rice (most prefer brown rice)
